The event, organized by the Peace Islands Institute (PII), the New York Interfaith Center and Columbia University’s religious studies department, hosted former US Vice President Al Gore’s daughter Karenna Gore and prominent Indonesian religious figure Imam Shamsi Ali.
Kimse Yok Mu provides fast breaking meal to orphan students in Kenya
İftar was provided by KYK to the orphan students and their teachers of Noor Madrasah located in Kibera, one of the second biggest shanty neighborhoods in Nairobi. Ranging from 5 to 13 year-old a total of 50 orphan students receives education in Madrasah.

Students of Fatih Schools take first place in LYS and TEOG exams
Students of the Fatih Schools network — which are inspired by the faith-based Gülen movement — popularly known as the Hizmet movement — were the top scorers in both the Transition from Primary to Secondary Education (TEOG) exams taken from Nov. 26-27 and April 29-30 and the Undergraduate Placement Examination (LYS).
Young Peace Ambassadors Academy 2015 Graduation Ceremony
Peace Islands Institute launched the Young Peace Ambassadors Academy (YPAA), which is a peace education program for the middle and high school students in the New York City. The aim of this 6-weeks intense leadership program is to provide a space platform for the students, who are interested in the social science, to learn about the global issues and United Nations.
Iftar Dinner at Manhattan’s Riverside Church
Islands Institute New York, The Riverside Church, Union Theological Seminary and Interfaith Center of New York organized a wonderful Iftar Dinner at the Riverside Church. The Iftar had more than 250 guests from very diverse cultures and religions. The program began with a welcome speech by Reverend Chloe Breyer and representatives of each organization.
