Legislators joined Peace Islands Institute to distribute meat during Eid al-Adha
During the Islamic holiday of “Eid al-Adha” from October 15th-18th, 2013, the Peace Islands Institute (PII) paid visits to local Food Pantries with legislators to donate fresh meat to celebrate the eid so as to serve our NJ community, by remembering the poor during this holy season. Asm. Thomas P. Giblin (District 34) underlined the extreme generosity of the PII during the observance of Eid al Adha and noted that this demonstrated great community spirit and willingness to help families in need”
Austrian President Fischer receives Turkish Language Olympiads team
The students and teachers, who represented Austria in 11th Turkish Language Olympiads organized by International Turkish Language Education Association (TURKCEDER) were received by the Austrian President Heinz Fischer at the presidential palace. The olympiad team briefed the president on the language and culture event, during their visit. Fischer congratulated the team for receiving two medals in the event.
Gülen fine after being briefly hospitalized for arrhythmia
According to the statement made by herkul.org — a website that usually publishes Gülen’s speeches –, Fethullah Gülen was taken to hospital after suffering from heart rhythm abnormality, caused by sudden high blood pressure. After being taken home following medical observation, Gülen received a telephone call from Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who expressed to him his best wishes.

Kimse Yok Mu aid and relief foundation, which provides Eid al-Adha aid in some 140 countries annually, channeled 1,450 sacrifice animals to Nigeriens through the local Bedir Schools, the second most impoverished country in the world. Love is A Verb – forthcoming documentary on the Gülen Movement
Love Is A Verb is an examination of a social movement of Sufi-inspired Sunni Muslims that began in Turkey in the l960s and now spans across the globe. The group is called Hizmet, the Turkish word for “service” or The Gülen Movement after its inspiration and teacher, Fethullah Gülen, a man TIME magazine named as one of the most influential leaders in the world in 2013 for “…preaching a message of tolerance.”
Fethullah Gülen’s Eid message: Let’s pray for each other
Turkish American community paid visit to Fethullah Gülen to greet him for the Eid al Adha, which is a major Islamic festival. Following the supplication, Gülen talked to his guest briefly and said: “Let’s pray for each other with deep iman (belief), ma’rifa (Spiritual Knowledge of God), and mahabba (love); let’s include all humanity in our prayers, starting from the people in closest circles; let’s be inclusive and embracing in our prayers.”

Kimse Yok Mu (KYM) has recently initiated a project, “a card of hope,” in the city of Sakarya, Turkey. The project aims to stop beggary in the city. Volunteers of KYM would distribute “a card of hope” to every beggar in the city, which would contain information and directions on how to receive aid from local Kimse Yok Mu branch.
