Turkish humanitarian aid organizations have sent rescue teams to the Philippines. “A 10-member rescue team of ours has already reached the Philippines,” Yusuf Yıldırım, who is in charge of foreign aid at Kimse Yok Mu (Is Anybody There?), has told Today’s Zaman. The humanitarian aid organization will also distribute 6,500 food packages to the victims.

Eleven designers came together at a recent charity event coordinated by fashion designer Esra Seziş and actor Taylan Güner. There, they made a unanimous decision that each designer would create three pieces for auction, the revenue from which would be donated to orphans in need. Romanian-Turkish Schools’ students donated their pocket money for the past month’s flood survivors in the eastern Romania. Moreover, the students delivered the aid in person to those living in trailer houses. Kimse Yok Mu Foundation gave away Eid al-Adha meat to the needy in Venezuela’s largest slum, Petare, in the capital Caracas. The foundation’s volunteers who reached out to over 3,500 families were well received by the inhabitants. Malian Ministers attended the Eid al-Adha aid event co-organized by Kimse Yok Mu Foundation and the local Malian-Turkish Horizon Schools.
Turkish charities knew no borders in spreading benevolence across continents during the four-day Eid al-Adha festival, sacrificing animals, packaging the meat and distributing it and other forms of assistance to the less fortunate in many countries of the world. They distributed food, clothing, money and other forms of assistance to the poor in most of Turkey’s 81 provinces and in more than 120 nations around the world.
Kimse Yok Mu aid and relief foundation, which provides Eid al-Adha aid in some 140 countries annually, channeled 1,450 sacrifice animals to Nigeriens through the local Bedir Schools, the second most impoverished country in the world. A total of 1,400 sacrifice animal shares sent from Turkey are going to be distributed to some 10 thousand families in various locations in Afghanistan.
