We condemn the horrifying mass shooting in Florida this morning that left more than 50 dead and injured many more. This act of terror is an attack on our common humanity and values. It is more important than ever to stand in solidarity against violence, hate, and terror, as well as any attempt to justify this horrible act. Our hearts go out to the victims’ families and all those who were affected.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the horrific attack that took place in Orlando, the deadliest mass shooting in United States history. I unequivocally condemn this hate-driven terrorist attack and I share my revolt and disgust with billions of people around the world.
Dialogue and Friendship Dinner in Portland, Oregon
On November 13th, 2013, Pacifica Institute’s Portland chapter held its 5th Annual Dialogue and Friendship Dinner having the author-journalist Mustafa Akyol as its keynote speaker. The dinner was attended by Turkish and American academics and businessmen. Reception for ‘Time in Turkey’ held in New York
The exhibition, which shows Turkey from the lens of 25 masters of photography, has been on display in New York for the last six days and will be open to visitors until Jan. 9. The exhibition, which hosted millions of visitors in 19 other cities around the world, will end its global tour in New York.
