Donate your qurban, bring joy to families in need

Date posted: August 18, 2017

USA-based Embrace Relief Organization is organizing an Eid Al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) campaign to distribute your “livestock donations” to the needy across the globe. Embrace has been organizing this campaign every year for many year.

Qurban (sacrificial livestock) prices differ according to costs within the country where it is sacrificed; it changed between $100 and $200. Qurban donations will be collected in US dollars. Your donation will be used within the region you have selected. An estimated 90% of each donation goes directly to feed those in need.

Donors can travel to the destination of the qurban and personally help distribute the meat to those in need.

The slaughter of Qurban livestock takes place within a specific time frame in the last month of the Muslim calendar. At Eid al – Adha, Muslims must sacrifice an animal within the first 3 days, which start with salat al-Eid or right after the morning prayer of the first day, then ends with sunset of the third day.

All of donations to Embrace Relief are tax deductible. Embrace Relief Foundation is a nonprofit, tax exempt organization under Section 501 ( c ) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. A donation receipt letter will be generated at the time of your donation.

Once the qurban has been completed and distributed, the donor will be notified by email and text message. Embrace can provide additional photos and videos 30 days after the distribution of the Qurban upon request.
