Hizmet school in Bangladesh receives the International Arch of Europe Award

International Turkish Hope School has received The International Arch of Europe Award in The Gold Category.
The prominent award is designed to recognize the prestige of the outstanding companies, organizations, and businesspeople.
Recognized for commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation, International Turkish Hope School of Bangladesh was presented the International Arch of Europe Award to acknowledge strong quality and excellence. Mr. Bedreddin Suata, Chairman, received the prize on behalf of International Turkish Hope School at the InterContinental Frankfurt Convention Hall, from the President of the BID Group, Jose E. Prieto.

Albania deports Gülen follower at Turkey’s request despite court rejection of extradition
Albanian authorities on Wednesday deported Harun Çelik, a Turkish teacher at a school affiliated with the faith-based Gülen movement in Albania, to Turkey despite a court order releasing him from his five-month incarceration over an extradition request from Ankara.

Brooklyn teens from the Turkish and Jewish American community gathered for a twinning event at the Masbia Soup Kitchen. Though this is not the first time that these teens are getting together in a project; they formed an initiative called “Young Peace Builders”, which aims to foster better understanding between the two communities. They believe that working together in projects like this will benefit the New Yorkers now and in the future.

Mustafa Ege Şeker, a student of Yamanlar College in İzmir, has won a gold medal with a computer project he made for the 14th InfoMatrix International Computer Project Competition.
Dialog High School wins top prize
Gymnasium und Realschule Dialog, located in Koln, Germany, got the first place with its podcast project among hundreds of schools in the “Schools design the future” contest by Sparda Bank. The school was awarded €10 thousand as the top winner. The top 19 schools received their awards in a ceremony at Sparda Bank’s Köln Breslauer Platz location.
