Kimse Yok Mu Receives “Outstanding Service Medal” in Somalia

A Turkish relief organization, “Kimse Yok Mu“, received “Outstanding Service Medal” for its welfare activities in Somalia. According to a statement released from the charity, Orhan Erdogan, the Somalia representative of the “Kimse Yok Mu”, received the award from Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed on Friday.
According to information, the president of Somalia said, “Turkish relief organization ‘Kimse Yok Mu’ came to Somalia just at the right time and they have high importance for us.”
In the statement, it said that the first aid which reached out to Somalia a year ago was followed by tonnes of aid material, furthermore, they opened two schools in Mogadishu and more than 600 successful students were brought to Turkey to continue their education.

African queen promises to give support to Turkish schools
Queen Ntombi Twala of Swaziland received a group of teachers from Turkish schools and businesspeople, affiliated with the Hizmet Movement, at her palace. “Success of the schools you established pleased me a lot. If you open such schools in our country, my people will benefit from them,” said Ntombi adding that she promise to support schools which will be opened in her country.
Turkish aid organizations rushes aid to Philippines
Turkish humanitarian aid organizations have sent rescue teams to the Philippines. “A 10-member rescue team of ours has already reached the Philippines,” Yusuf Yıldırım, who is in charge of foreign aid at Kimse Yok Mu (Is Anybody There?), has told Today’s Zaman. The humanitarian aid organization will also distribute 6,500 food packages to the victims.
