Fethullah Gulen’s Message of Condemnation and Condolences for St. Petersburg Terrorist Attack

I strongly condemn the brutal terrorist attack Monday on the metro in St. Petersburg, Russia, which cost the lives of 11 people and injured dozens more.
Words fail to express my sorrow at the loss of innocent lives and suffering of their loved ones. I share my deepest condolences with the victims’ families and the people of Russia. I wish for the quick recovery of the wounded.
I reiterate my unconditional condemnation of this and other acts of violence that inflict pain on innocent people. This is an attack not only against the people of Russia but also against humanity. We should all stand in solidarity as members of the human family against such deplorable acts of terrorism.
I pray to God, the Most Compassionate, to lead humanity to a world of peace and tranquility.
Secretary Kerry insists Turkey must provide legal, solid evidence against Fethullah Gulen
We’ve never had a formal request for extradition, and we have always said, “give us the evidence, show us the evidence”. We need a solid, legal foundation that meets the standard of extradition in order for our courts to approve such a request.
Fethullah Gülen issued the following statement on Turkey’s extradition request
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today once again demonstrated he will go to any length necessary to solidify his power and persecute his critics. It is ridiculous, irresponsible and false to suggest I had anything to do with the horrific failed coup. I urge the US government to reject any effort to abuse the extradition process to carry out political vendettas.

Fethullah Gülen: “Do not be content with employing consultants only from among the admirers of your party. Do not only speak with your own organizations. Benefit from the wise people who love Turkey; because they act objectively, and seek no personal gain.”
Al-Nusra Claims Responsibility For Murder Of Russian Ambassador, Warns Of More Attacks
The Jabhat Fatah al-Sham organization (formerly the al-Nusra Front) claimed to be responsible for Monday’s murder of Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov’s in Ankara. Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu had even told his US counterpart John Kerry that both Turkey and Russia “know” that the Gulen movement was behind the ambassador’s murder.

In building his political career, Turkey’s powerful and charismatic prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, relied heavily on the support of a Sufi mystic preacher [Fethullah Gulen] whose base of operations is now in Pennsylvania. Mr. Gulen’s followers “never approved the role the government tried to attain in the Middle East, or approved of its policy in Syria, which made everything worse, or its attitude in the Mavi Marmara crisis with Israel,” said Ali Bulac, a conservative intellectual and writer who supports Mr. Gulen.
