Turkish Olympiad held in Philippines enchants audience

Turkish Olympiad and a culture festival, held jointly by Philippian Tourism Ministry and Turkish schools in Philippines, impressed the audience a lot with performances of the students.
Students from Fountain International Turkish School and Tolerance International Turkish School competed in three areas; sing, poem and folk dance. During the event, Maria Rowena Sanchez who is Philippian ambassador to Turkey, made a speech. “This program, held by the people from different language, religion and culture, shows us what is important is love in heart not the differences among us,” said Sanchez adding that he extended his thanks to devoted teachers in Turkish schools.
Students performed well-known Turkish songs during the event and performed folk dances successfully. At the end of the show, audiences expressed their pleasure with the performances of the students.
Nigerian students studying in Turkey have been detained in airports after being interrogated like criminals. About 50 of them were detained in Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport for 11 hours; some were deported, even though they were bona fide students who were yet to complete their studies.
Awards from Romanian Prime Minister to Turkish School Students
36 students from the International Computer High School of Bucharest (ICHB) won 46 medals in total. When the name of ICHB announced, the students of Turkish school did not fit on the stage.

A delegation of Senegalese deputies who visited a Turkish schools in Dakar expressed their with Turkish schools in the country saying that they taught them fraternity and charity.

International “Evolution of Teacher Training Conference” took place in Minsk
The “Evolution of Teacher Training: International Cooperation and Integration” conference, the fourth in the traditional conferences series, jointly organized by Belarusian State Pedagogical University and the Dialogue Eurasia Association, was held in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. 70 academics from Turkey, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine and Poland attended the event that took place between October 24 and 25.
