Fethullah Gülen’s Message of Condolences in the Wake of the Western European Floods

I was saddened to learn of the devastating floods in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria, in which more than 180 people have lost their lives and hundreds of people have disappeared so far.

I offer my condolences and wishes for quick recovery to the peoples of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands; I ask God to bestow patience and perseverance on those who lost their loved ones.

I pray to God to give strength to the search and rescue teams so that the missing people can be found quickly, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

I invite everyone to support the relief efforts personally, financially and through their prayers so that the affected regions can overcome this disaster as soon as possible.

9 Months imprisonment for hate crimes against Gülen Movement in Germany

Hakan Koçak was sentenced to 9 months’ imprisonment due to insulting and threatening the volunteers of the Hizmet Movement in Nürnberg, Germany. The judge also told Kocak long-term advice and explained that Germany is a constitutional state.

5,166 Turkish citizens sought asylum in Germany during January-November

According to data from the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, there has been a rapid rise in the number of Turkish people seeking asylum in Germany since a failed coup attempt on July 15. Germany received asylum applications from a total of 5,166 Turkish citizens during the January-November period of 2016, according to a story in Deutsche Welle on Sunday.

Written Evidence to UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee on Hizmet

The Alliance for Shared Values of the US & The Dialogue Platform of the UK have prepared a report on “UK’s relations with Turkey” that focuses on the Hizmet Movement. The report may be downloaded, disseminated for free and even printed. Representatives from these organizations were personally invited to submit written evidence by the Committee to explain Hizmet and provide Hizmet’s response to the AKP government’s allegations against Fethullah Gülen and the Hizmet movement.
