The Alliance for Shared Values strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Paris. We stand united with the people of France and with people around the world in mourning the loss of innocent lives and offering our deepest condolences to the families.

We honor the victims by strengthening our commitment to peace, tolerance and mutual respect.

Turkey’s government and the media that support it have an odd attitude when it comes to violent acts carried out by ISIS: It’s as if the “cultural/ideological dialects” of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) government somehow malfunction. The Jabhat Fatah al-Sham organization (formerly the al-Nusra Front) claimed to be responsible for Monday’s murder of Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov’s in Ankara. Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu had even told his US counterpart John Kerry that both Turkey and Russia “know” that the Gulen movement was behind the ambassador’s murder.
