Indonesian-Turkish Schools host 5th Science Olympiads

Turkish schools in Indonesia hosted the 5th Annual Indonesia Science Project Olympiads (ISPO) on February 26-28.ISPO is comprised of 6 different subject categories, namely biology, chemistry, environment, technology and computer. A total of 935 project entries were submitted to qualify for top 150.

The projects attracted a great deal attention of the visitors. The finalists presented their projects during two-day displays at Indonesia University, where they were scored by a jury including prominent Indonesian academics and scientists. The champion projects will be awarded at a special award ceremony to take place at Sasona Langen Budoyo Performance Center in the capital Jakarta. They will also represent the country at upcoming international science olympiads.

ISPO is annually held by Turkish Schools in Indonesia in cooperation with Indonesian Ministry of Education, Indonesia Institute of Sciences and top eight universities of the country. The former Indonesia Ministry of Education Bambang Sudipyo holds the presidency of the ISPO committee.

Turkish schools in Afghanistan won 147 medals this year

The Education Minister made a speech underlining that Turkey had always helped his country in education.
