The Turkish schools operating in Mongolia have been awarded “Most Effective Institution Award”, in recognition of their contributions to Mongolia in the field of education.
At a ceremony recently held at Sunjin Grand Hotel in the capital, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s 50 most effective institutions were presented their awards. In recognition of their achievements and contributions, Empathy Educational Institutions, active for about 20 years in Mongolia, were honored with “Top Standard” award among the most effective institutions. An Empathy Institutions affiliate, Elite International School, Principal Mustafa Uguz received the award on the institutions behalf. The organizing committee members expressed their appreciation of the schools’ contributions to the development of Mongolia. Since their establishment in 1994, Empathy Educational Institutions have been rated top among the Mongolian students.

Somali education minister praises opening of Turkish school
Somali students on Monday filled the classrooms of the famine-stricken country’s first Turkish high school, which the Turkish charity the Nile Organization established in the Somali capital, Mogadishu. Education Minister Ibrahim noted that “cities other than Mogadishu are also seeking to have similar Turkish schools.”

The Romanian Minister of Social Dialog Aurelia Cristea inaugurated the school building. The minister hailed the schools as institutions raising the next generation of the country.
Education as a Bridging Factor of All Dimensions of the Sustainable Development
Journalists and Writers Foundation (JWF), in partnership with Peace Islands Institute, organized a discussion panel during the 2nd Session of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters. The panelists discussed that education was one of the key factors that affected all dimensions of sustainable development and could enhance the integration of the dimensions in a cross-sectoral manner.
