Arrested vet diagnosed with cancer, not allowed for treatment at hospital

Turkish veterinary doctor Harun Vural was diagnosed with cancer during his term under pre-trial detention however, the prosecutor in charge denies him permission to stay at hospital before an upcoming surgery.
Erzurum-based veterinarian has been under arrest as part of an investigation into the Gulen movement, which the government accuses of masterminding the last year’s coup attempt, since Jan. 23.
Vural was taken to a hospital after he noticed blood in his urine and doctors found tumor in his bladder.
He was scheduled to undergo a surgery on April 11 while doctors recommended that he stays under intensive care at the hospital until then.
Upon persistent request from the prosecutor, identified as Nurullah Yasar, however, he was anew transferred to the prison despite his continuous bleeding, on Mar 28, Aktif Haber news portal reported.

Pro-Erdogan gang leader says will hang all Gülenists
Sedat Peker, a convicted gang leader and staunch supporter of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said they will hang all people linked to the Gülen movement from flagpoles and trees, the Diken news website reported on Sunday.

Bosnian court denies Turkish extradition request for alleged Gülen follower
A Bosnian court has dismissed a request for extradition to Turkey of a Turkish national, one among several wanted for alleged links to the Gülen movement, which Ankara blames for a failed coup in Turkey in 2016, Reuters reported.
