The Eskişehir Samanyolu Gülbahar Anatolian High School, whose students won two gold, three silver and two bronze medals, has ranked first in the Infomatrix Asia and Pacific Olympics held in Kazakhstan.
A total of 1,500 projects, which were developed by students from 33 countries in five categories, were in competition for medals in the Olympics.
Students of the Eskişehir Samanyolu Gülbahar Anatolian High School — inspired by the Gülen or Hizmet movement that is based on teachings of Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen — won medals in the Hardware Control, Computer Art and Robotic categories. Ayşe Beyza Abacı won a gold medal in the Robotic category, while Fatma Aygül Keskin won a gold medal in the Hardware Control category.
African Union Commission chair visits Turkish school
Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, paid a visit to a Turkish school established by volunteers of the Gülen movement, which is inspired by the teachings of Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen, in the South African city of Durban, saying its students are “privileged” to be educated there.
Afghan minister: Afghanistan will continue to support Turkish schools
Samim said: “Afghanistan has been going through a very difficult period over the last 30 years. Everything has been overturned by the civil war, bringing the state to a near-collapse with internal conflicts. During this period, Turkey has always been with us. They [Turkish volunteers] came and opened Turkish schools. The first Hizmet [the faith-based Hizmet movement]-affiliated school was opened in the country 20 years ago.

Mozambican president: I will continue to support Turkish schools
Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi has expressed his support and gratitude to the educational volunteers affiliated with the Gülen movement for their contributions to his country, saying that he has scheduled a visit to the Turkish school in the Mozambican capital Maputo that his son graduated from to show his support.
Suspicious raid against Hizmet-affiliated highschool famous for its success
The raid came just two days after Turkey’s Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) announced the results of the Higher Education Entrance Examination (YGS), which revealed that students from Gülen-inspired schools are among the top scorers of the exam, casting doubt on the objectivity of the raid.
Graduation ceremony held in Turkish schools in Senegal
Turkish schools Yavuz Selim Educational Institutions are known with their qualified education in Senegal. Turkish schools opened by entrepreneurs affiliated with Hizmet Movement held a graduation ceremony for the students on their 11th academic year in Dakar.
