Kimse Yok Mu receives a letter of appreciation from Uganda’s Office of the Prime Minister on October 3, 2014 for the aid it extended during and after disasters. The letter said:
“On behalf of the Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Disaster preparedness and Refugees and on my own behalf, permit me to express our appreciation to KIMSE YOK MU for the support it has extended and continues to extend to Uganda through Nile Humanitarioan Development Agency, in form of relief support during disasters, for example, the Bududa landslides where KIMSE YOK MU generously contributed towards the support of the affected communities.”
The letter also appreciated meat distribution during the Feast of Sacrifice (Eid Al-Adha) to both Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
The letters was signed, on behalf of the PM’s Office, by the Minister of State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees.
Turkish Kimse Yok Mu volunteers staying months to help survivors
The members of Kimse Yok Mu Foundation were the first group among dozens of international humanitarian groups that have descended to Tacloban City, of Philippines, which bore the brunt of the world’s strongest typhoon recorded this year. Kimse Yok Mu Foundation was able to collect $2 million and was still receiving donations for Haiyan victims, said Kurkcu. The foundation was organized in 1999, just months after Turkey was hit by a devastating earthquake that killed more than 17,000 people.
‘Hizmet conspiracy’ theories rejected at iftar hosted by Alevis
Participants of an iftar held by the Federation of Alevi-Bektaşi Associations under the theme “Solidarity in the light of the Quran” at the Renaissance Polat Hotel in İstanbul on Wednesday evening expressed their disbelief in the existence of any conspiracy prepared by the Hizmet movement.
Uplifting Romanian children in need
At a recent event, the children were distributed exclusive gift packs of toys, clothing and stationery. In attendance of the occasion were mayor of Sector 2 of Bucharest, Neculai Ontanu; the renowned Romanian singer, Nicoleta Matei, and Kimse Yok Mu Foundation representative, Orhan Erdogan.
Australian Relief Organisation runs 2017 qurban campaign
Australian Relief Organisation (ARO) is running its 2017 Qurban Appeal at present. Qurbans are valued at $120 and qurban donations will be distributed to the needy locals across Philippines and Sri Lanka.
People happy in town Kimse Yok Mu helped build
Kimse Yok Mu has been operating in Pakistan since October 2005, when an earthquake devastated the north of the country. The foundation has so far dug 178 wells in Pakistan, and there are 86 wells currently under construction. Across Pakistan, 800,000 people benefit from the clean water provided by the foundation and its donors. The total aid provided by Kimse Yok Mu to the people of Pakistan exceeds $30 million.
