After Huge Overseas Accolades IFLC Is Going To Win Indian Hearts On May 07, At Talkatora Stadium New Delhi

On 7th May 2016, the spectacular IFLC event will be organized in India for the very first time, where school students from all around the world will sing, dance and act to develop universal harmony and brotherhood at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. The theme of the 14th IFLC event (India) is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – ‘The world is one family’. Mrs. Sushma Swaraj (Minister of External Affairs), Mr. Venkaiah Naidu (Minister of Parliamentary Affairs), Dr. Najma Heptullah (Minister of Minority Affairs), Dr. Mahesh Sharma (Minister of Tourism and Culture), Mr. Arvind Kejriwal (CM of Delhi), Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, Baba Ramdev and many other dignitaries (MPs, Celebrities, Spiritual Leaders) are going to make this event more colorful and vibrant with their august presence.

Mr. Bilal Acikgoz IFLC Coordinator is very delighted on the arrival of IFLC to India, he said, “Language of love is the legacy of India’s Sufis and Saints. It is a country of Ram, Buddha, Nanak, Chishti and Teresa, who are the true apostles of love & peace for entire humanity. IFLC too is an attempt to spread universal peace through our young emissaries (School Children). Peace is contagious by nature which can prevail only through our mutual and collaborative efforts.”

The 14th IFLC is an ideal platform where youths from diverse cultural background and nationality can share their ideas and experiences with the whole world to create an environment of peace, harmony and brotherhood. The Educational Endowment Trust with the support of The Ministry of Culture, Government of India and United Nation Information Center India and Bhutan are going to organize the IFLC event for the very first time in India.

The International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) is an annual celebration that showcases the range of linguistic talents and cultural diversity from around the world. IFLC started in 2003 with students from 17 countries. In 2015, 145 countries took part in the events across the world with more than 2000 participants. In 2016, IFLC will be organized in 28 countries with over 40 venues.

Yamanlar and Fatih High Schools’ success at International Science Olympiads

Yamanlar and Fatih Science High Schools won medals at the international physics, chemistry, biology and computer this summer as well. Sebahattin Kasap, CEO of Yamanlar Education Institutions, said; “207 out of 391 medals won so far at the international Olympiads by Turkish student won by Yamanlar Science High School students. We are happy to represent Turkey successfully”.

Turkish schools get award for advanced study in Benin, Mongolia

“The Turkish school is the sole contributor that makes Benin’s reputation high via its students, who are successful in international [educational] Olympiads,” the president said in a written statement.

Erdogan pushes to close down Gulen-inspired Turkish schools in Africa

Turkish President Erdogan is pressing ahead for the closure of Turkish schools affiliated with the Gülen movement (aka Hizmet movement) in African countries. There are more than 100 Gülen-inspired schools in Africa, as well as other parts of the world. The government praised these schools in the past as key institutions promoting Turkish culture abroad.
