UN praises Kimse Yok Mu for aid efforts in Somalia

Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) John Ging said in an interview on Thursday that Kimse Yok Mu and other Turkish NGOs’ aid efforts in Somalia should be praised.
On a three-day visit to Somalia, Ging talked to the Cihan News Agency and said that Turkish NGOs are doing a great job in Somalia.
“During my visit to Somalia, I have had the chance to meet with some Turkish NGO officials. Turkish camps in Somalia have the highest standards and everybody knows this. They are doing a great job in the fields of healthcare, education and food aid. We, as the UN, appreciate the work that they are doing,” Ging said.
Kimse Yok Mu, which now reaches out to different regions of the world affected by catastrophes, is recognized by the Republic of Turkey as an association that works for the public interest. The status was accorded by Cabinet decree No. 2006-9982 on Jan. 19, 2006, with the approval of the president at the time.

Underscoring the vital importance of food and healthcare supplies these days in the blocked strip, Gaza representative of Kimse Yok Mu Nasser al-Sadi stated that aids coming from Turkey are lifesaving.
Avni: New plot under way to blame Gülen movement for PKK attacks
A whistleblower who tweets under the pseudonym Fuat Avni has claimed that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his accomplices have devised a new plot against the faith-based Gülen movement, also known as the Hizmet movement, in which they will place blame for the recent increasing violence across Turkey on the movement.
Why didn’t Chuck Hagel visit Turkey?
The government took new measures to prevent the graft probe from proceeding, in an attempt to create the public perception that the corruption allegations are the making of the Hizmet movement and its alleged foreign collaborators. For instance, a new measure introduced by the government to tighten control over the Internet, including powers allowing the authorities to block websites for privacy violations without a court decision, is part of a campaign to prevent news related to the corruption scandal from being disseminated further through the Internet.

It is unfair, unjust and politically motivated to incriminate the Gulen Movement
As a reader of Gulen’s thinking and a keen observer of the movement, I am convinced that they are aware of the viability of multiple approaches to resolve our global issues as well as the locally troubling scenarios. So to accuse and incriminate a movement that is based on the Islamic notion of hizmet (service) of a coup to topple a civilian rule is unfair, unjust and politically motivated for all practical reasons.
