I was totally shocked by the news because I can’t imagine a situation where convicted criminals are being set free just so political opponents can be locked up.

The Spanish translation of the Qur’an, Turkish cuisine recipes and translations of Fethullah Gulen’s books, in particular, were in high demand. Among them, the Qur’an translations and Gulen’s “Messenger of God: Prophet Muhammad” were sold out before the fair came to an end.

The Turks need to be reminded that Mr. Gulen has a legal right to be in the United States, and that the Justice Department would have to go through a rigorous process before deciding whether he could be handed over, especially to a country where due process is increasingly unlikely and torture is reportedly used against detainees.
