US law professor: Gülen extradition would be unlawful
Seval Yıldırım, a professor of law at Whittier Law School, said in a statement to Today’s Zaman on Wednesday that for the US to extradite Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen without a formal case against him would be an infringement of US law.

Rubin says Gülen’s extradition would convince Erdoğan that blackmail works
“If Gülen is turned over, however, I suspect relations will get worse because the extradition will convince Erdoğan that blackmail and bluster work,” said Rubin in an interview published in the Vocal Europe magazine on Monday.

Businessmen released following operation against Gülen movement
Based on the government’s much criticized “reasonable suspicion” law, a large number of businessmen in Uşak province were detained last week as part of an investigation into the so-called “parallel structure,” although most of them were released late on Friday night due to a lack of evidence to support a possible prosecution.

After prayers were read for the 301 miners, the Kimse Yok Mu Foundation announced that these miners’ children will be provided with scholarships and educational opportunities. The Kimse Yok Mu Foundation’s Aegean region coordinator, Mesut Arıkanlı, extended the organization’s support to the families of the 301 miners, saying it will always back them.
