The kids are from countries all over the world here to participate in the Raindrop Foundations 4th annual International Festival of language and culture at the Hobby Center, February 6th. The kids are from Mexico ,France ,Georgia ,Brazil, Germany, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Senegal, Tunisia,and Ukraine . We we’re so glad to show you around and it was a pleasure meeting you all!

Islamic scholar Gülen criticizes Turkish gov’t response to Gezi protests
Gülen said he had heard of Turkish officials’ efforts to “undermine Turkish schools abroad” which are run by his movement in many countries across the world. “Unfortunately, this appetite for destruction pushes all fair limits. These schools were established through the great self-sacrifice of the people of Anatolia,” he said.
Professor Wagner: With Gülen, the key is love
Today’s Zaman interviewed Wagner about his recent book and his insights about Fethullah Gülen. Prof. Walter Wagner says: “There was a Hitler, there was a Stalin, and there was an Osama bin Laden. We must be very careful and we must examine the heart. In Gülen’s case, the key is love. If the charismatic leader does not lead you to love, does not lead you to acceptance. Kyrgyz court overturns extradition of suspected Gülenists to Turkey
A Kyrgyzstan court on Tuesday overturned a decision by the country’s Prosecutor General’s Office to extradite two people to Turkey to face charges of membership of the banned Gülen movement, The Diplomat reported.
Iftar Dinner at Manhattan’s Riverside Church
Islands Institute New York, The Riverside Church, Union Theological Seminary and Interfaith Center of New York organized a wonderful Iftar Dinner at the Riverside Church. The Iftar had more than 250 guests from very diverse cultures and religions. The program began with a welcome speech by Reverend Chloe Breyer and representatives of each organization.
