MHP deputy dismissed gang allegations against Hizmet Movement

ANKARA
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Adana Deputy Seyfettin Yılmaz stated that it would be a great wrongdoing to deem a person as gang affiliated without any verdict of conviction by a prosecutor, referring to Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen who inspired the Hizmet Movement.
Speaking at the Parliament during the talk on the bill concerning restructure of the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK), Yılmaz mentioned “parallel state” and “gang” allegations against the Hizmet Movement. The politicians said such slanders against decent members of Hizmet are not acceptable. Gülen is a valuable person who grew up in Turkey.
“[Hizmet Movement] is very transparent under the surveillance of the government. You would go a great wrong if you accuse [Gülen] as a gang affiliated person without any verdict of conviction by a prosecutor,” stated Yılmaz.

This latest move against the Gulen sympathizers is a violation of a basic right of the suspects, who are still legally innocent until proven guilty, to defend themselves at the courts. It is clear that Erdogan regime leaves the suspects no room to defend themselves at the courts.
RTÜK issues fines to intimidate Samanyolu TV
The Supreme Board of Radio and Television (RTÜK) has been harassing TV networks that it deems to be anti-government, and Samanyolu TV has become one of its major targets. Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen has strongly criticized abusive language and remarks within pro-government circles insulting members of the Hizmet movement, saying this kind of behavior is hypocritical and is being employed to cover up their own sins.
