Pioneer Academy of Science to Move to a New Campus

Date posted: April 17, 2013

The Turkish school Pioneer Academy of Science operating in Clifton, New Jersey for years is going to move into its new building in September, 2013.

The school administration, in search for a new building for a long time, have announced the decision to move into a larger complex located in Wayne township of New Jersey. The new complex on a land of 14,400 m² will comprise many facilities ranging from gym to dormitory. The three-story building is scheduled to be launched in 2013-2014 academic year.

Underlining the ever-growing demand for the school, the principal of Pioneer Academy of Science Yunus Kuloglu explained the reason behind as the inadequacy of the current facility to meet the demand. He said that they are closely concerned with students’ guidance besides their performances in math and science and the parents therefore show a high demand for the school. “Our new building has the capacity to meet every need of the students. We have highly successful students getting admission to leading universities. We believe we offer a quality education to them. We will offer even better in our brand new facility” Kuloglu said. He further noted that they’ve always had the full support of the parents and thanked everyone involved in finding the new campus.

Assad Akthar who attended the gathering on behalf of New Jersey Representative Bill Pascrell commented that it is difficult to establish a school and even more challenging to succeed in New Jersey. Akthar congratulated the school officials and said he is very much excited to see the school launched.

A parent, Dr. Iparraguirre said, “I found it hard to believe the information the administration gave me when I first walked into Pioneer. It is very important to be a good person besides courses. I realized it at this school and recommend it to other parents as well.”

FBI Public Relations specialist Kimberly McDonald underscored that they seek to promote intercultural relations by forming ties between the communities. “We aim to enable people to contact FBI” McDonald added.

Wayne Mayor Christopher P. Vergano expressed their pleasure to have Pioneer in the city. Speaking of Wayne as a very pleasant neighborhood Vergano said, “Starting with this school, I hope people will contribute to such activities. We are so happy to have you here. Thank you for everything done.”

Not only the US residents but a considerable number of students from abroad are anticipated to enroll in the new school at its news campus.

UNESCO Global Monitoring Report and Turkish Schools

The Turkish schools around the world offers practical perspectives and practices in redefining “the human” and his needs, reintegrating him into society, overcoming the physical and methodological obstacles to education and leading a robust performance in the path to global peace. Although the report correlates the education crisis at first glance with poverty and social background, education remains as the number-one problem, in a varying extent, in the developed countries as well. What needs to be done is to convey how the Turkish schools are tackling or minimizing many educational problems and, finally, to find out what aspects of the schools’ methods can apply to public schools.
