Iftar at Afghan-Turkish Schools

Turkish schools in Afghanistan brought Afghan people and Turkish people together with an iftar dinner that they organized. The Turkish ambassador to Kabul, Aydin Nurhan and the coordinator of the Cooperation and Coordination Agency of Turkey (TIKA), Bekir Demir also attended the iftar dinner.

Both Turkish and Afghan cuisines were served at the iftar dinner. Numan Erdogan, director of the Cag Afghan-Turkish Educational NGO, who hosted the iftar dinner, stated that they have girls’ high schools, boys’ high schools, divinity schools, international schools, elementary schools, college dormitories, and dialogue and cultural centers in Afghanistan today.

In his speech, Erdogan said, “We are able to accomplish all of this with your contributions, and with the contributions of Anatolian people. God-willing, we will continue with our works with the support of our Anatolian people, our Afghan friends, and Afghani businessmen and government officials.”

The Cag Afghan-Turkish Educational NGO was founded in 1995, and today they are running 32 institutions in 6 providences with 7,000 students.
