Minister says Pak-Turk schools won’t be closed down

Karachi—Sindh Education minister Jam Mehtab Dhahar has assured a Turkish team Tuesday that Pak-Turkish schools will not be closed down in Sindh or anywhere in Pakistan. They gave the assurance to the visiting Turkish team during meeting in Karachi, with the Turkish officials, here on a tour.
“There is no order of closure of Pak-Turk Schools in Sindh as well as in Pakistan from Federal, provincial or Turkish Government,” the delegation was informed. It was also informed that all Pak-Turk Schools were functioning properly and educational activities were in full swing.
Turkey’s Maarif schools to be funded by Saudi and IDB money
The Maarif Foundation, established by the Turkish government in order to compete with Turkish schools abroad established by Gülen movement sympathizers, has received approval from Saudi authorities and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for financial support for Maarif schools abroad, a Turkish news portal reported on Friday.
