Pak–Turk cooperation: Turkish NGO to support free eye surgeries

The country director of Turkish NGO Kimse Yok Mu, Ozcan Inan, visited the Rawalpindi Eye Donors Organisation (REDO) on Monday and announced extending cooperation to conduct free surgeries of deserving patients.
He lauded REDO’s humanitarian efforts in a thickly populated area of the city.
REDO Chairman Sultan Hassan briefed Inan about the projects initiated both at its medical complex in Rawalpindi and another health care services centre established in the rural areas of Chakwal at Balkasar.
He said the organisation is functioning on a self-help basis and millions of patients had been treated. Most of them got free-of-cost treatment. He acknowledged contributions of philanthropists for sharing expenditure of REDO. “We are trying our utmost to extend medical cover to deserving patients on a priority basis,” he said.

Kimse Yok Mu enables African girls to go to school
Kimse Yok Mu Foundation, with a record of charitable efforts in 113 countries around the world, has enabled African girls to go to school with the water wells it has established across the continent. These girls had to carry water from miles away and thus were unable to go to school. The foundation’s 1735 water wells in 20 different countries across the African continent have been serving some 3 million locals. Additionally, it reached out to 65,000 orphans in 50 countries.

The Turkish-initiated Elite International Schools in Mongolia provided a state pediatric hospital at the capital city Ulaanbaatar with new reading halls for its young residents. At the ribbon cutting ceremony were the schools’ officials, students and hospital authorities along with the local press.
