Intercultural Dialog Foundation located in Edmonton, Canada, awarded Kimse Yok Foundation (KYM) in recognition of its international aid efforts. Steve Young and Alana DeLong, two members of Legislative Assembly of Alberta and the foundation’s advisory board at the same time, hosted the award ceremony at Royal Glenora Club, Edmonton. In attendance were some 100 people including academics, public figures from diverse cultures, state officials, businesspeople, religious leaders and journalists.

The general manager of Kimse Yok Mu Metin Cetiner received the award on behalf of his foundation from Steve Young. Presenting the award, Young said, “I’ve been watching very closely the projects you are bringing into life to the benefit of humanity. And I would like to thank you for your solution-oriented and sustainable works.”

Next, Cetiner said, “Kimse Yok Mu Foundation is an NGO that has been known particularly for its innovative approach, its effective and sustainable aid efforts and independence. Also, being a transparent and progressive one, it’s now among the top 100 NGOs of the world. The award we’ve received today is yet another affirmation of that. As KYM, we are determined to continue our projects addressing the needs of the humanity.”

Kimse Yok Mu opens school for Syrian children

A protocol signed between the Arbil Governorate and the aid organization in November, the school, which has 12 classrooms and 1,000 square meters of space, was built in the region of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for refugees who fled Syria. Kimse Yok Mu’s international media coordinator Hatice Avci got the first place with her photograph on the foundation’s ASYA team, which responded to disasters in Pakistan, Tajikistan, Japan, Haiti, Indonesia and the Philippines. Avci received her award from Walter Ammann, the president of Global Risk Forum, organizing institution of the IDRC 2014.

Kimse Yok Mu provides eid meat for needy Thais

Teachers of the Turkish schools in Thailand handed the eid meat packages provided by Kimse Yok Mu Foundation and Marmara Solidarity Foundation. Joined by the volunteers from Turkey and other European countries, they worked day and night over the eid.

Turkish charity Kimse Yok Mu drills 1,396 wells in Africa

A total of 1,396 wells have been drilled in 13 African countries since Nov. 1, 2014, as part of a project called “Selsebil Water Wells,” which was launched by Turkish charitable organization Kimse Yok Mu in 2011, in cooperation with Fatih University students and Genç-İz Academy Association members.
