Eight trucks aid supplies for Serbia & Bosnia flood

Over a million people were affected by deadly flood in Serbia & Bosnia on June 20, 2014. Embrace Relief responded by sending 8 trucks full of aid supplies including blankets, cleaning supplies, medicines, clothing, foods, and furniture to those who effected by flood.
Embrace Relief’s (located in NJ) sister organization Kimse Yok Mu and its search and rescue team ASYA took its place in Bosnia right after disaster happened. ASYA helped rescue many of the victims with rescue boats and its professional team who trapped on the floodwater. Embrace Relief raised 50,000 dollars for the victims of the disaster. Also, we’ve received first donation from Turkish-Islamic Scholar Mr. Fetullah Gulen. He donated 5,000 dollars. We thank all our volunteers and contributors to make this happen.
Islamic scholar Gülen criticizes Turkish gov’t response to Gezi protests
Gülen said he had heard of Turkish officials’ efforts to “undermine Turkish schools abroad” which are run by his movement in many countries across the world. “Unfortunately, this appetite for destruction pushes all fair limits. These schools were established through the great self-sacrifice of the people of Anatolia,” he said.

Turkish Cultural Center’s Meat Drive in New York
Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer joined the Turkish Cultural Center and Embrace Relief in a relief effort to provide aid to the underserved and those struck by disaster. 1,500 pounds of meat were donated to the Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Manhattan.

Gülen’s says, “Women beaten by their husbands should seek a divorce if they have no children. Beating is an unjustifiable physical attack and is a crime. Defending yourself against this attack is legitimate” and “Nonsmokers who share the same atmosphere with smokers should open lawsuits against smokers, seeking compensation for the damages they suffer. If the smoker is a father, his nonsmoking wife or children should be able to launch such a lawsuit”
