The Alliance for Shared Values deplores the bombing attacks perpetrated against peaceful protesters today in Ankara. We are deeply saddened by the increasing number of losses and injuries and offer our condolences to the families and friends of the victims. It is now more important than ever that we do not fall prey to the pernicious intentions behind these attacks. We must stand in unity and not lose our belief and trust in peace. At this moment, we reiterate our condemnation of any and all forms of violence and terror.

Gülen’s lawyer: Systemic, illegal wiretaps taking place in Turkey over last six months
After “lies” and “defamatory statements” about Gülen surfaced in the media once new recordings were leaked on the Internet, lawyer Nurullah Albayrak said in a written statement that Gülen’s phone calls had been illegally wiretapped.

Kimse Yok Mu lends helping hand to 15,000 Syrians in Suruç
Kimse Yok Mu has sent TL 50 million worth of aid to Syrian Kurds who have fled from the town of Kobane to take refuge in Suruç, a district of Şanlıurfa province. The philanthropic group has distributed 15,000 aid packages to refugees in the week before the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday. Two truckloads of winter clothing were also sent for the coming cold weather.
Turkish gov’t planning slaughter of jailed Gülen followers in staged riot, lawyer claims
The Turkish government is headed for mass killings of people jailed over alleged or real links to the Gülen movement, in a staged riot in Silivri prison, a lawyer representing a former police chief imprisoned as part of a crackdown against the movement claimed, underlining that he is worried about the lives of his clients.
Fate of preparatory courses
Zaman’s Hüseyin Gülerce denied allegations that there is tension between the government and Hizmet movement due to government’s steps to bring an end to these preparatory courses, saying that Hizmet does not own all preparatory course schools in the country. What bothers members of Hizmet is that the government has not given a clear or reasonable explanation as to why they are taking these steps, Gülerce said.
