The Alliance for Shared Values deplores the bombing attacks perpetrated against peaceful protesters today in Ankara. We are deeply saddened by the increasing number of losses and injuries and offer our condolences to the families and friends of the victims. It is now more important than ever that we do not fall prey to the pernicious intentions behind these attacks. We must stand in unity and not lose our belief and trust in peace. At this moment, we reiterate our condemnation of any and all forms of violence and terror.

Turkish intellectual and Muslim scholar Fethullah Gülen called on senior officials in Turkey on Friday to repent for their sins and lies made to scapegoat others and avoid the blame for their own corruption.

The Education Ministry distributed “Attempt to invade Turkey with coup” brochures at all state schools across Turkey.
