The philosophical and intellectual contest “Know Thyself” held in Bishkek

BISHKEK

The inter-university philosophical and intellectual contest “Know Thyself” was held by the Dialogue Eurasia Young Intellectuals Club in Bishkek on December 20, 2013.

The contest aims to ensure students are informed about philosophies and civilizations of world nations and promote tolerance and dialogue among civilizations and contribute to the emergence of a generation of young intellectuals.

Seven university teams and a guest team of disabled students attended the contest. The competition was very high. The teams from Kyrgyzstan International University and Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University won the gold medal, securing the same points. The Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University team came the second while Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani Eastern University won the third slot. The contesting students were given presents by the Dialogue Eurasia Platform.

The next contest will be held in February 2014.
