Turkish NGO “Kimse Yok Mu” Association sent 150 truck laden aid to Syrians sheltered in southeastern Turkey.
NGO official Celal Turkoglu told AA correspondent that they handed out the aid to Syrians who took sanctuary in Turkey but not sheltered in camps, as part of the “Bread and Blanket for Syrians” campaign.
He said there were around 7000-8000 people close to Turkey border living in tents and they try to support them by sending transportable toilets, baths and generators.
Turkoglu said the most needed aid materials were food and cleaning/hygiene products.
Kimse Yok Mu is a Turkish charity and its name means “Is anybody there?” in Turkish.
Kimse Yok Mu President: We are not leaving Somalia
Kimse Yok Mu Foundation President Ismail Cingoz announced: “We are not leaving Somalia because of the terrorist attacks targeting Turkey.” Cingoz had talked to the volunteers in Somalia once again before the announcement. He reported they were grieved at the terrorists attacks but felt no concerns or fears as they knew the condition the country was in when they first arrived. He further stated that they will carry on with their services against all the odds.
Cabinet bans charity Kimse Yok Mu from collecting donations
The Taraf daily ran a story arguing that the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) government planned to remove Kimse Yok Mu’s public interest status, which would prevent it from collecting donations. The report argued that the proposal was pending with the Cabinet, expecting it to take effect before the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Ubeyd and Nurefşan Yeşil donated the gifts presented at their wedding to the Hizmet in Tanzania. Almost $40,000 value donation will be used in the construction of a college dormitory and water wells.
African Professor lauds ‘Kimse Yok Mu’ as model relief organization
University of South Africa Professor Yousuf Dadoo has congratulated Kimse Yok Mu, one of the largest charity organizations in Turkey, for making its work a model for all charitable groups. He said that during a recent visit to Turkey he had been privileged to spend some time with members of Kimse Yok Mu, a relief organization connected to the faith-based Hizmet movement.
Kimse Yok Mu reaches out to tin houses of South Africa
Kimse Yok Mu recently distributed the Ramadan aid donated by Turkish people in tin house neighborhoods of South Africa. Children were too overjoyed by candy and balloon treats distributed as a part of the aid under the auspices of Johannesburg Horizon Turkish School. In addition to the aid packages for tin house neighborhoods, some five hundred locals are being hosted daily at iftar dinners at ground level halls of Nizamiye Mosque.
