Turkish NGO sends aid to Syrians

Turkish NGO “Kimse Yok Mu” Association sent 150 truck laden aid to Syrians sheltered in southeastern Turkey.

NGO official Celal Turkoglu told AA correspondent that they handed out the aid to Syrians who took sanctuary in Turkey but not sheltered in camps, as part of the “Bread and Blanket for Syrians” campaign.

He said there were around 7000-8000 people close to Turkey border living in tents and they try to support them by sending transportable toilets, baths and generators.

Turkoglu said the most needed aid materials were food and cleaning/hygiene products.

Kimse Yok Mu is a Turkish charity and its name means “Is anybody there?” in Turkish.

Turkish charity Kimse Yok Mu drills 1,396 wells in Africa

A total of 1,396 wells have been drilled in 13 African countries since Nov. 1, 2014, as part of a project called “Selsebil Water Wells,” which was launched by Turkish charitable organization Kimse Yok Mu in 2011, in cooperation with Fatih University students and Genç-İz Academy Association members.

Syrian Refugees Blanket & Coat Drive

Now for the fourth time, Embrace Relief is organizing another campaign to assist Syrian refugees abroad, this time to Syrians in refugee camps in Iraq. We are asking our volunteers to bring new or gently used blankets and winter coats to one of the drop-off locations.

Kimse Yok Mu soup kitchen to serve weekly hot meal in Somalia

A large number of people showed up at the inaugural service last Friday. Mogadishu families in need enjoyed the hot meal and fruits served in hygienic conditions after a long time.
In cooperation with Somalia’s Ministry of Social Welfare and hosted by Hodan municipality, the initiative will continue throughout the year. The target is 50 thousand needy by the end of the year. Security forces on the scene will coordinate recipient families during the distribution.
