Governor asks Turkish organisation to focus on Balochistan

ISLAMABAD, Dec 1 (APP): The Governor of Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has asked a Turkish organisation to pay special attention to promotion of education in the province of Balochistan. Provision of quality education in the far-flung areas of the underdeveloped province will help people come out of poverty in short span which will settle many issues, he said. Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai said this while talking to the administration of Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges during a visit to the institution on Sunday. He said that the primary schooling is critically important especially for the children with illiterate parents who are not well-aware of the importance of schooling.

The Governor said that government is aware of importance of education therefore it is doing best to promote education but it needs help of organisations working selflessly to enlighten masses.
Pak-Turk which is strengthening education system in Pakistan needs to embark upon an ambitious programme to open branches in all districts of the province with special attention on deprived families in the remote areas, he said.

Merit and scholarships can enable poor get quality education which is otherwise difficult, Achakzai observed. The government would extend every possible help and support to organisations working for a cause, he assured.

On the occasion, Pak-Turk officials told the visiting dignitary that over one thousand students in Balochistan are getting quality education while some have won awards in the international contests.

Earlier, the Governor visited the campus, took interest in teaching process, asked questions from teachers and students and gave valuable suggestions.
He was fascinated by smart boards, active tables and other latest educational tools.
