A documentary film titled “Love is a Verb” which represent Hizmet Movement inspired by Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen met with the audience in New York.

The film directed by Terry Spencer Hesser who has won Emmy three times informs audience about Gülen who inspired Hizmet Movement — a volunteer-based grassroots movement that works in the field of education around the world and encourages interfaith dialogue.

Love is a Verb was the winner of the best documentary in Maryland International Film Festival and was shot in five different countries.

“Through a co-operation with the people inspired by Gulen, we had an unprecedented access to the ideas and actions of the movement around the world. We met teachers who crawled through a tunnel to open a school in Sarajevo during the war and the students whose lives they changed. We met a Sufi conductor whose orchestra is composed of children whose parents were once at war. We got a glimpse of the interfaith work the movement provides in Turkey, including a visit to Rumi’s exquisite shrine. We went to their schools in Turkey, in Somalia, in Iraq.” was written on website of the film.

The film will meet with the European audience with a premium in London in October. It is not certain yet if the film will be released in Turkey. DVD of the film will appear onto market as of October.
