Graduation ceremony held in Turkish schools in Senegal

DAKAR
Turkish schools opened by entrepreneurs affiliated with Hizmet Movement held a graduation ceremony for the students on their 11th academic year in Dakar.
Large numbers of people including many bureaucrats attended at the ceremony. National anthems of Turkey and Senegal were recited at the beginning of the program and successful students were awarded. Speaking during the ceremony deputy principal Mehmet İzol stated that students graduate from the schools will represent both Senegal and Turkey successfully.
Turkish schools Yavuz Selim Educational Institutions are known with their qualified education in Senegal.
İzmir’s private Yamanlar, Ankara’s private Samanyolu and İstanbul’s Fatih colleges all left their mark on the 20th National Antalya Mathematics Science Olympiad, organized for primary and secondary schools by Akdeniz University and held on May 3 and 4.
Journalist reveals inspiring story of Turkish schools in book
Ankara-based journalist Mesut Çevikalp has written a book about the little-known stories of Turkish schools opened by Turkish entrepreneurs in various parts of the world, including the moving and hardship-laden stories of education volunteers working at these schools, most of whom left a better life in Turkey with the hope of promoting universal values of peace, dialogue and peaceful coexistence with others.

17 Percent Students Of Nile University Are On Scholarship
Prof. Hussein Sert, the Vice-Chancellor of Nigerian Turkish Nile University (NTNU), said that 17 per cent of students in the institution were on scholarship. Prof. Sert told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Saturday the institution offered scholarship to students that performed excellently in pre-university examinations.
