BUCHAREST

The Bucharest-based and Turkish-initiated Tuna Foundation and Kimse Yok Mu foundation joined together to bring joy to the Romanian children in need.

At a recent event, the children were distributed exclusive gift packs of toys, clothing and stationery. In attendance of the occasion were mayor of Sector 2 of Bucharest, Neculai Ontanu; the renowned Romanian singer, Nicoleta Matei, and Kimse Yok Mu Foundation representative, Orhan Erdogan.

The children gave a traditional welcome to the officials by serving bread and salt on arrival. Their stage performances also received a round of applause from the guests. Nicoleta Matei later joined the children to sing along.

When the performances came to an end, each child was called up to the stage one by one to receive gift packs, in excitement. The mayor Ontanu, in his address, said, “I feel as happy as these children. Many thanks to Tuna and Kimse Yok Mu foundations. We could offer a family atmosphere at least a little bit.”

A total of 250 children, taken care of mainly by guardian parents, benefited from the packs.
