Deputy PM of Turkey visits Gulen-inspired school in Yemen

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc visited the International Yemen Turkish Schools as well as the Yemen office of TIKA, Turkey’s international cooperation and development agency, in capital Sana’a. During his visit to the Turkish schools complex, Arinc received information from the schools’ director, Mehmet Yilmaz.
The Turkish schools campus, a Gulen-inspired school, was inaugurated last month by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Arinc later paid a visit to the TIKA’s Yemen coordination office. He briefed Yemeni officials and Industry and Trade Minister Mohammad Saed al-Sabi about TIKA’s works.
“Turkey wants Yemen’s prosperity, security and development. We are ready to extend support to Yemen in the fields of health, education, transportation and infrastructure,” Arinc said.
The Turkish deputy premier will participate on Saturday in the 6th Turkey-Yemen Business Council and he will address Turkish businesspeople.
He will also meet with Yemeni President Abd al-Rab Mansur al-Hadi and Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindawa.
Arinc will depart from Yemen on Sunday after concluding his talks in the country.
Turkish school in Philippines partners in a social project
The project aims to rehabilitate the regions academically and socially lagging behind the rest and assist children’s education in particular. Inaugurating the project, an event took place seeing the attendance of International Fountain Schools general manager Malik Gencer, The Philippines Turkish Chamber of Commerce Irfan Karabulut, Pacific Dialog’s president for Philippines Cihangir Arslan and The Philippine Gendarmerie’s commander for civic operations Colonel Arnulfo Marcelo B. Burgos alongside numerous commanders and NGO officials.
Ambassadors back Gulen schools in Asia

Filipino businessman grateful for Turkish schools
Filipino Chairman of Union of Chambers and Exchange Commodities Abdulgani Macatoman praised the Turkish schools operating in his country for their achievements. “My both children are studying at the Turkish schools. These schools have been among the top-rated all the time. We have a total of 926 high schools in the capital Manila and the Turkish schools top the list. I would like to thank Turkish people for establishing these schools.”
A group calling itself the Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges Parent-Teacher Association expressed concern on Saturday over reports that the government was going to hand over the school management to “a political entity”. Speaking at a press conference at the Raiwind Road campus, they said they would oppose such a move.
Ethiopian PM: It is an honor to work with TUSKON

On the first day, TUSKON signed a commercial partnership deal with the Ethiopia Chamber of Commerce and on the second day, the confederation signed a bilateral commercial agreement that promises to provide advantages to TUSKON members in trade not only with Ethiopia, but also with the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), which has 22 member countries.
Afghan education minister recommends Turkish schools in each province
Congratulating the Turkish teachers working at the schools in Afghanistan, Minister Wardak said that they were “highly respected.” He went on to praise the teachers who “leave behind their families and their cherished hometowns, leaving wonderful cities like İstanbul and Ankara and all that is near and dear to them to serve the Afghan nation and Afghan children.”
