CELİL SAĞIR, İSTANBUL

I value the Turkish contribution in education and believe that this will not only benefit Pakistan but also all of humanity, and thus help in realizing our vision of “education for all.”

Q: With respect to the cultural side of the relations, we know there are Turkish schools in Pakistan. Do you see the schools as important contributions to relations? What more can be done on cultural and educational relations?

PM: The strong people-to-people and state connections existing between Pakistan and Turkey have been revitalized with educational cooperation and dedication rendered by the philanthropic people of Turkey through PakTurk educational institutions across Pakistan. Their motto indeed summarizes what both countries feel for each other: “We are two countries, but our hearts beat as one.”

These schools provide quality education to students from both urban and rural areas. I must emphasize here that giving quality education is a priority of my government. I value the Turkish contribution in this sector and believe that this will not only benefit Pakistan but also all of humanity, and thus help in realizing our vision of “education for all.” These schools substantiate our close mutual cooperation in vital fields like education, information and culture.
