Foundation stone of Ethio-Turkish Schools’ new dormitory laid

The ground breaking ceremony of a new 150-bed capacity high school dormitory for Ethiopian-Turkish schools’ Alem Gena campus was held in Ethiopia.
In addition to Turkish businessmen residents of Ethiopia, Turkish Ambassador to Addis Ababa Kenan Ipek was in attendance at the ceremony. Ipek said “What distinguishes us from other nations is that we do not seek self-interest but sharing, just like what we witness here today.”
The ground breaking of the building followed the remarks. Afterwards, Ambassador Ipek planted a tree in the soon-to-be dormitory’s yard. The construction financed by Turkish businessmen and entirely supervised by Turkish engineers is planned to be completed by July 2013.

350 thousand students, in total, from 6000 schools around the world participated in this year’s AMC 8, recognized as the world’s most prestigious math contest involving middle schoolers. Among the participating Turkish schools, Adana Burc Schools’ students achieved a notable success by winning 13 medals. Turkey, South Korea, China, US, Canada, Russia and Taiwan constitute the award winning countries in the event.
Students of Turkish schools in Romania impress in science competition
A total of 329 have competed in the competition, presenting 245 projects in the categories of energy, environment, design and interactive learning.
Turkish school in Romania moves to new building
Spectrum Turkish School in Yas city of Romania moved to its new building on Tuesday with a ceremony. Turkish schools which have been operating in Romania for 21 years continue to develop. The school which has a capacity of 500 students gained new building.

Erdoğan’s African mission and dismantling Turkish schools
How do Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s repeated calls for the closure of Turkish schools located on the African continent, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, serve Turkish national interests?
