TUSKON to gather 2,000 businessmen from all over world in İstanbul

The Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) has organized another Turkey-World Trade Bridge summit, to be held in İstanbul starting Wednesday as nearly 2,000 businessmen from all around the world fly in to attend.
Turkish businessmen from a number of sectors, including textiles and machinery, among others, will engage in private meetings with their counterparts from the Balkans, the Americas, Asia, Africa and Asia-Pacific to sign business deals.
TUSKON President Rızanur Meral said nearly 26,000 foreign businessmen in addition to the 40,000 Turkish businessmen attended previous events organized by the business organization.
On Thursday night Samanyolu Haber TV news channel was the latest to face a cyber attack, as readers have at times also recently been unable to access the websites of the dailies Zaman, Today’s Zaman and Taraf, as well as the Cihan news agency, particularly since the night of the local elections on March 30.
Nigerian govt demands immediate resolution from Turkey
The Federal Government of Nigeria is demanding an explanation and immediate resolution following the deportation of almost 50 Nigerian students at the Ataturk Airport in Turkey. Just after the coup, the Turkish Government had requested that 17 Turkish schools be closed down for their ties to the Gulen Movement and the Nigerian Government didn’t accept it.

The Gülen community is a movement of volunteers. The real reason for the row is not the community’s attempt to meddle in politics. It is due to its sheer size and public image. As he did with other groups or communities, Erdoğan sought to take full control of the Hizmet movement in an effort to consolidate his power. Following the defeat of the military tutelage, the government saw a convergence of power. However, the Hizmet movement was not a piece of cake which it could swallow easily. The government had previously purged itself of many bureaucrats who are close to the community.
