Kimse Yok Mu launches campaign for Eid al-Adha with amusing banner

The Kimse Yok Mu charity organization, which has been subjected to a smear campaign by the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) government, has launched its relief campaign ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) with an amusing banner, in an attempt to circumvent imposed restrictions.
On the banner is a sacrificial ram with a red ribbon on one ear. Winking an eye, the ram says, “You got it,” conveying that the foundation expects charitable donations of sacrificial animals. Kimse Yok Mu sacrifices thousands of animals all over the world, delivering meat to people in need.
The foundation, inspired by the faith-based Gülen movement, has come under intense pressure from the government, and has experienced difficulties collecting donations. The government-led smear campaign followed a corruption scandal that implicated several high-ranking officials in late 2013.
Hate towards Hizmet Movement as a political strategy
The Hizmet movement has broad support from every walk of life in the country. A very popular civic movement, many groups are sympathetic to the cause of the Hizmet. So, the image of the Hizmet had to be turned upside down.
Following the abortive putsch on July 15 2016, allegations of unfair trials, using torture in prisons and holding suspects without trial have been made against Erdogan’s government. And now, it has been alleged that Turkey is arresting women accused of links to the Gülen movement immediately after they give birth.
Mother detained over Gülen links while twins left in intensive care
A day after former teacher Ş.A., mother of a week-old premature infant, was taken into police custody over links to the faith-based Gülen movement while she was on her way to the hospital to feed the baby, another mother was detained as part of the same investigation while her twins were left in an intensive care unit.

Before Fatih Ozcan, the Mississippi representative for the Dialogue Institute of the Southwest, moved to the United States in 2002, he didn’t fully recognize the importance of communication between different cultures. The nonprofit organization, which follows Islamic scholar and social advocate Fethullah Gulen’s teachings of tolerance and mutual understanding, was in development in Houston when Ozcan first became involved.
