A remarkable program was held in Addis Ababa for the Ethiopian final of the 12 th International Turkish Olympiads was followed with great joy.
The program was held in Sheraton Hotel in the city with the participation of around 450 people, most of whom are the parents of the students attending Internationa Nejashi Turkish School.
The students competed in several areas such as song, dance, theatre and poem to be able participate in finals of the Turkish Olympiads in June. The audience was chanted with the performances of the students.
Each year, about 15,000 students around the world prepare for the Olympiads, but only the finalists who win at national competitions are invited to attend the huge international competition in Turkey. The competition will see gold medals given to the top 10 individuals, silver medals given to the top 10 percent of competitors and bronze medals given to the top 30 percent of competitors.
Gulen-Linked Turkish Schools In Kazakhstan Being Renamed
Turkish-Kazakh schools across Kazakhstan are being renamed amid a campaign by Turkey against the exiled Turkish Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen. The Turkish-Kazakh schools were co-founded by Gulen’s Hizmet movement and his followers and have been functioning in Kazakhstan since early 1990s.
Fatih College basketball court demolished despite ongoing case

Governor’s office leads raid against Gülen inspired school based on annulled law
The Eskişehir Governor’s Office has stated that an annulled law was mistakenly used in the inspection warrants for Samanyolu Primary School and its high school as well as for a FEM prep school in the province, showing how carelessly the government-orchestrated operations are being carried out against the faith-based Gülen movement, also known as the Hizmet movement.
Prep school debate [in Turkey] continues
According to Bugün columnist Adem Yavuz Arslan, some newspapers, such as Akit, use very harsh language against the Hizmet movement in the prep school debate. Arslan wrote that newspapers are free to criticize things, but the criticism cannot be made as a form of revenge. The right to open a prep school is a democratic right, Arslan said.
Egypt’s Turkish schools reject Akşam and A Haber TV reports
The administration of the Turkish Salahaldin International Schools based in Egypt has sent a correction to the Akşam daily and A Haber TV station, stating that two recent reports about Turkish schools in Egypt appearing in the pro-government media outlets were baseless and false.
Nigeria: Turkish international college constructs 90 hand pumps, boreholes in local communities
The Nigerian Turkish International College NTIC has constructed over 90 hand pumps and electric motorized boreholes in many villages, hamlets and schools within Kaduna state in Nigeria the last four years of its existence. Davud Sagir, the director for the college in Kaduna says that it is not only part of their corporate social responsibility, but their duty to provide assistance in education, medicare, and charitable causes in the society.
