Fethullah Gulen’s Statement on Mass Shooting at Pittsburgh Synagogue

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the horrific attack against the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. It is heartbreaking to see such a tragedy happen at a place of worship. I strongly condemn this hate-driven attack on the worshippers.

May this tragic event be an occasion to strengthen our commitment to promoting love, respect, and compassion among every individual.

I express my heartfelt condolences to family and friends of those who lost their lives. I pray to God, the Most Compassionate, to lead our society to days of peace and tranquility where respect for human life overcomes hatred. I also pray for the fast recovery of the wounded.

Gülen’s statement, which addressed Kurdish, Turkmen, Arab, Yazidi, Shiite and Sunni families in Iraq, was published in the leading newspapers of Iraq’s Kurdish region such as Rudaw, Hawlati, Basnews, Kürdistany Nwe, Xebat and Çawder.
