Ethio-Turkish Schools receive “Certificate of Appreciation’ from African Union

African Union Political Affairs Department has honored Nejashi Ethio-Turkish Schools in Ethiopia with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of their contribution to mutual understanding and peace in Africa.
The Turkish schools in Ethiopia continue to gain recognition with their contributions to science and education. The schools have been recently awarded a certificate of appreciation by African Union Political Affairs Department. Bearing the signature of Political Affairs Department Commissioner Aisha L. Abdullahi, the certificate reads “presented to Nejashi Ethio-Turkish Schools in recognition of their tireless efforts and dedication.”
Having started out with approximately 30 students in 2004, Nejashi Ethio-Turkish Schools today have a population of 535 students from kindergarten to high school. They continue to extend bridges of education and friendship between Turkey and Ethiopia.
Kimse Yok Mu and MASFED to open hospital in Ethiopia
The rough construction of the 40-bed Harari Hospital is finished, but the final outfitting of the facility is still under way. Hospital officials stated that they hope to be ready to open very soon. The hospital was built with funding provided through donations, and charitable contributions will also be the source of its ongoing support. A total of 50 medical healthcare personnel from both Turkey and Ethiopia will serve the people in the Turkish hospital.
Erdoğan’s Baku visit will not close Hizmet schools
Heydar Aliyev, an experienced and far-sighted politician, always supported these schools and we cannot say that the decisions to open the doors of the country to these schools was of no benefit. The schools have for years maintained the trust of the government because they are integrated with Azerbaijani society and its values. To think that the schools opened with blessings of Heydar Aliyev will be shut down by his son İlham Aliyev would be naïve.

Turkish schools very well respected and trusted, Pakistan’s Education minister
Pakistani minister also stressed the importance of education in terms of its role for the country’s future. “Education is one important thing for the country to move forward. In fact my duty is also to make things better in the field of education in Pakistan. We have a lot of good examples from Turkey and the way Turkey has progressed not only in economy and democracy…Turkey serves as a role model of Pakistan.”
