Extending a helping hand to the needy globally Kimse Yok Mu recently made a bakery with three thousand-bread daily available to the needy in Darfur area.

Hundreds of local people attended the ribbon cutting ceremony of the bakery to serve four different orphanages home to 400 orphans in total. Additionally, the orphans will be trained to be bakers and the revenue from their bread will cover the expenses of the orphanages.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Musab Bin Umeyr Selsebil Bakery, mayor of Nyala, Darfur, Al Hadi Nisa said bread and food are the top needs of the African continent. “You’ve opened a facility, an orphanage, which is most valuable to us. You took care of our orphans. I can’t find the words to express how pleased I am. Moreover, you’re launching a bakery today to make sure they have enough food. I can’t thank you enough! You are handing pens and books to our children, not guns. You are teaching them unity and brotherhood. Many thanks to Kimse Yok Mu (KYM) family and Turkish people.”

Mehmet Bozdag, KYM’s director for the orphan project, said the charity has been assisting Darfur for the past eight years, providing food, health care, education and orphanage services. The bakery is intended to not only provide bread for the orphanages but also make money to cover other expenses. “These efforts aim to enable them to make money thus eventually become the helper.

In addition to the bakery, KYM renovated and financed the equipment for another three orphanages and provided food staples for the orphans. In attendance of the ceremony was Ahmed al Bashir, the minister of education of South Darfur.
