The Turkish Light International School System campus came alive when students between ages 10 and 18 demonstrated their talents in a science exhibition. The school’s science and technology department has attracted many students to enroll in the institution.

The Vice President (VP) of Liberia Joseph Boakai says that the Liberian Government wants to see the empowerment of its people and empowerment of its children is a beginning. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Turkish-Liberian Light International School’s new campus in Margibi County, VP Boakai said that the country is moving forward and the Turkish school wants to be a part of it.
Liberia’s Vice President Joseph Nyumah Boakai has urged the administration of the Liberian Turkish Light International School to improve the quality of education beyond the secondary level in the country.
Minister Julia Duncan Cassell said it is through peace, the people of Turkey decided to open up a relationship with the people of Liberia and through that relationship they have opened schools in the country and are carrying on construction of more schools.
In an effort to promote students’ enthusiasm for mathematics and the sciences, the Liberian Turkish Light International School has launched a math competition for nearly 200 students in 150 elementary schools in Monrovia. Mr. Huseyin Fatih BABA, principal of the Liberian- Turkish school told reporters that the program was his institution’s contribution to building the educational system of Liberia.
