Kimse Yok Mu (KYM), set to reach out to 103 countries as a part of its Ramadan campaign, continues to deliver aid worldwide. The countries it delivers aid includes Burkina Faso, Yemen, Venezuela and Niger.

An iftar dinner by KYM for Thai Muslims

As a part of its Ramadan agenda, KYM Foundation is organizing aid trips to Far Eastern countries. One of the KYM coordinators visiting Thailand, Ibrahim Serafettin Ekiz, reported that thousands have been hosted at iftar dinners for five days in Bangkok and Muslim-populated southern cities. Ekiz noted mostly the poor showed up for the dinners yet there were rich ones among who would like to share the abundance of Ramadan.

Turkish schools in Afghanistan, which are running 32 institutions in 6 providences with 7,000 students, brought Afghan people and Turkish people together with an iftar dinner that they organized.

Turkish benevolent corporations provide iftar meals for thousands of Muslims during holy Ramadan in Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa mosque. ‘Sadaka Tasi’ set iftar meals for a thousand people on the left side of Omar mosque, where Turkish non-governmental organization (NGO) ‘Kimse yok mu’ prepared tables for 300 people on the other side on Friday evening.

Dalai Lama praises sema at Turkish fest in New Delhi

Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama watched and praised a sema, or whirling dervish ceremony, during a Turkish festival which lasted from Friday to Sunday in New Delhi, promoting traditional Turkish arts and culture. The three-day festival was held for the first time last year, and this year it takes place in the popular Select Citywalk mall in New Delhi. The event was organized by the Indian-Turkish Indialogue Foundation.
