A delegation from Cameroon, including Prime Minister Philemong Yang’s wife, were in the Turkish province Bursa, in order to share experiences of Kimse Yok Mu (KYM) for their future projects. The delegation had meetings with KYM officials, as a part of a newly founded charitable foundation in Cameroon. They seek benefiting from KYM’s experiences and using them in their charity work. They were pleased with the warm reception and KYM Bursa director Sadullah Hizan’s presentation on the foundation’s work.
PM’s wife Linda Yang said they intend to follow KYM’s footsteps. “We see that you’re perfectly practicing what you just told us about. Your volunteers are amazing. They are working expecting nothing in return,” Yang said. She additionally thanked Bursa people for donating for the 16 water wells that were made available in Cameroon during the last Eid al-Adha. The delegation invited the KYM officials to Cameroon and demanded orphanages and fountains for their country.
Their next stop will be Istanbul where they will make several visits and attend particular events before their departure.

Turkish educator says Demirel stood with Turkish schools abroad
Turkish educator Süleyman Alptekin has said that Turkey’s ninth president, Süleyman Demirel, who died on Wednesday at the age of 90, won people’s hearts with his open support for Turkish educators and Turkish schools abroad inspired by the views of Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen. Alptekin was flown back to the country in Demirel’s plane after being seriously injured in an accident in Bangladesh in 1997.
Police raid prominent journalists’ foundation GYV in Turkey
GYV’s members strongly protested the police measure. ESİDEF President Mustafa Özkara said: “Top government officials, who during the Turkish Olympiads only six months ago called the Hizmet movement the ‘peace movement of the century,’ now define the same movement as a ‘parallel structure,’ a ‘gang,’ a ‘criminal organization’ and even Hashashins.
Inability to generate values
Many are quick to note that Turkey does not have a worldwide brand. It is true that this country, with a population of about 70 million, has virtually no world-class brand. Some people are trying to destroy the few brands it does have (such as Turkish schools — which are run by Turkish entrepreneurs inspired by the ideas of well-respected Turkish-Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen).
